Ballet Evolution: theLegacy of the Ballet Russe

Next Wednesday, October 9, is the beginning of Gretel's set of Ballet presentation and information sessions. The first one sets the scene in 1909 Paris for the birth of The Ballet Russe, which transformed ballet into a vital, modern art with a profound and far-reaching influence on Western Culture. From the original Theatre de Châtelet, Gretel will bring you Scheherazade, the Polovtsian Dancers and Firebird with all their exotic colours and design, pulsating music, and the choreography which captivated Paris while making The Ballet Russe internationally famous.
